You might not have realized it, but creativity is a key component of your 100 Year Lifestyle. You use your creativity in a multitude of ways as you live your best life. In this month of infinite possibilities, we’re going to lean into the creative component of living 100:100, at 100% for 100 years or more.

What is Creativity?

Creativity is what enables you to generate new or innovative ideas and then bring them into existence. Have you been thinking creativity was just about art or music? Do you not see yourself as a creative person? Let’s get creative and look at this topic through a broader, 100 Year Lifestyle lens.

According to Psychology Today, creativity is “part of our drive as humans—fostering resilience, sparking joy, and providing opportunities for self-actualization.” If you do an online search of the traits of creative people, you’re going to find a lot of different lists. Everyone, depending on their experience and point of view, sees creativity and the related personality traits to be different.

At 100 Year Lifestyle we have our own list of creativity traits that are part and parcel of living your best life ever! If you are just planning your 100 Year Lifestyle or actually have been living your 100 Year Lifestyle for some time, bringing about what you have set your mind to gets your creative juices flowing. Here are the traits you already have!

Creativity Trait #1

Curiosity is a key component of creativity. To be curious is to ask questions, to want to know how things work, to constantly be interested in finding a better way to do things. Living your 100:00 means you are a lifelong learner, curious about the world around you.

Creativity Trait #2

Without motivation and determination, there is no creativity, and there is no 100 Year Lifestyle. It’s one thing to imagine new ways of doing things or seeing new creations in your minds’ eye. It’s another thing to bring those creations, those new situations to life. In order to be meaningful, creativity needs to be manifested, to exist outside the mind or imagination.

Living your 100:00 requires motivation and determination. You need to not only understand the changes that will bring you health, but you need to make them happen. You not only need to            understand the relationships or activities that will bring you joy, you need to pursue them. Luckily, The 100 Year Lifestyle offers the best possible motivation—health and longevity for you                  and your loved ones!

Creativity Trait #3

In order to get those creative juices flowing, you need to have a positive attitude. Negativity blocks out possibilities, which hinders creativity. Living at 100:100 helps you create and maintain a positive attitude. First, you are living a lifestyle that creates health, meaning you are adding years to your life and life to your years. You are more engaged, you are no doubt having more of an impact in the world, and you are having fun! What’s not to be positive about?

Creativity Trait #4

Creative people often embody flexibility, and so do people living at 100:100. Did you flex your creative muscle in solving a problem or bringing about a desired situation, only to have things change? No problem! Just flex that muscle again. Living The 100 Year Lifestyle means you have the strength, resilience, and commitment to make the changes you need to. It also means you have no fear because you have the knowledge and support you need to live a long and healthy life. So, flex away!
